Greer South Carolina Events

Upstate and western North Carolina have a ton of great places to explore, eat, drink, play and explore. Greer is one of our favorite places between Greenville and Spartanburg and offers plenty of options for eating, shopping or chilling out. We took a trip to explore some of the places that you could definitely explore on a day trip to the area.

One of our favorites, Century Park, offers more than just a playground, it has many beautiful hiking trails to explore. There are many playgrounds and picnic areas that offer children and parents alike extra fun.

For parents, there are many opportunities to sit at picnic tables in the background and watch the children play all day.

You can pull up a stool and sip your coffee while looking at the people passing by. While you wait for the tree to be lit, go to the fair and buy handicrafts, food and other items from local vendors.

This casual dining space is new to the block, but has already become a fast-growing favorite among Greer people. It is a great place to have a cup of coffee or a crepe with friends or a place to relax from work or just chill out.

We all love summer, but in autumn it's time to go outside and enjoy all that this area has to offer, especially as the weather changes and It is time for us to unite. A day at the farmers market is a carefree way to spend the day as a family in Greer. In the area there is something for the children to do in autumn, whether it is a picnic, a bike ride or just a walk with the children through the park.

Christmas tree lighting is high on our list for Christmas in Greer, but tree lighting in 2020 will be different. Read on for a list of holidays you can use in Greer. On Christmas Eve, shortly after 7 p.m., the Christmas tree lights will be on in the GreER Community Center.

The parade organizers ask people to stay in the group they live in and wear masks if they cannot socially distance themselves. Participants in the parade are asked to refrain from switching off their engines on the part of the parade route and to use sirens, air horns or car horns. If you need to pick up a gift for that special person, the ladies will put you up at the Greer Community Center.

Autumn and winter time starts on October 1, so check the website before you leave, but the Greer Station Vintage Market is open on Saturday October 3 and 4, and Sunday November 2 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Admission is free, and this event is one of the 100 most child-friendly events in Greer this fall. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 15 years old and $1 for seniors (65 and older) and is free for children 5 and under.

The North Pole reports that Santa Claus will be back in Greer in time for the parade, and this year's theme is "Christmas tunes," and old-fashioned, quaint Christmas chatter sounds great, which is exaggerated when you think about it. Note: At Covid 19 you can expect some changes in tree lighting, and it may be that there is no snow this year. On Saturday, December 2nd, there will be a free Christmas Parade and Christmas tree lighting at Heritage Park at 18: 30.

There is no snow, no music, no tree, no Santa Claus or even cocoa, but the children talk about it and you know you are buying something that is guaranteed to make someone smile.

As we move into autumn, it can be bitter to let a long summer day pass without the sun outside. Standing there, surrounded by old buildings and preserved historical signposts, one almost feels the slowness of the past days. During the holiday season, you take the long way home just to pass by, but with a 20-mile trail along the Reedy River, this is the perfect place for autumn fun.

The lights that stretch over the old buildings and the spiral lights of the streetlights are classic, simple and beautiful. The shops are decorated in a Christmas way, the sidewalks seem to be more lively as people explore the local shops and restaurants, and all the lights are lit.

I recommend this breakfast pan with collared vegetables, bacon, eggs and whatever else you can create in your mind. I started with collars, but home-made cucumbers make you want to beat someone (don't even get me on the collar).

Aerie Lane is home to a DIY studio where you can start any Pinterest project you've dreamed of. You can join someone who goes to the studio, works on their own project or be with a group of friends.
